History Carnivals

A sweeping History Carnival #28 can now be found at Patahistory. In the words of nineteenth-century bookseller Charles Hindley, a “large and curious assortment of Cocks and Catchpennies” — with the odd April Fool’s prank for good measure.

This is as good a time as any to tell you that in two weeks time I will be hosting the early modern edition of Carnivalesque, on the 16th of April! Send in your nominations of the past two months’ finest posts in early modern history (roughly between c. 1450 and 1800). You do not need to have your own blog to send in nominations — you can nominate posts from other blogs as well as your own.

E-mail me at kristine [dot] steenbergh [at] let [dot] uu [dot] nl or use this convenient submission form.

For more information, take a look at the Carnivalesque website.
